Dear Parents, Thank you for your interest in the Son-Shine and King's Kids Preschool Programs at Sacred Heart School. Choosing a school for your child involves careful thought and consideration. We are pleased and excited to have you join our preschool family! Below is information regarding our programs, and a link to download the necessary registration forms along with the preschool handbook. Please complete the forms and return to Sacred Heart School. OUR MISSION:
Our mission is to provide a well-rounded, quality, CHRISTIAN education for all children
regardless of race or religious affiliation.

OUR PHILOSOPHY:
We believe that the preschool's primary responsibility to the child, his home, and society
is to form a whole Christian person prepared for life in today's world. Through both the
faculty and curriculum our program:
     Emphasizes GOD'S love for each one of us and how to make HIM a part of daily life
     Promotes a positive self-image
     Creates an atmosphere of concern, mutual respect and encouragement
     Cultivates an awareness of the needs of all God's creation.

We help your child to develop a positive attitude toward his/her future educational adventure in the years
to come. Emphasis will be placed on just how special and unique each child is. Our goal is to
build a strong spiritual, social, creative, emotional, intellectual, and physical foundation for
each child. We know that children learn best through reading, hands-on play, and music. This
is the primary structure of our teaching style. We acknowledge that PARENT'S are the
primary educators of their children, and accepts the responsibility of sharing in the privilege
of this education.

DAILY ROUTINE:
Kings Kids ~ Class begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 1:30 p.m.
Son-shine Kids ~ Class begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 11:30 a.m.
Curriculum consists of:
     Opening and Closing activities
     Jesus Time / Bible Time
     Learning Centers
     Small and Large group activities
     Circle Time / Story Time
     Gross and Fine Motor Skill activities
     Sign Language
     Introduction to Spanish
     Music and Art
     Social Studies / Social Skills
     Language Readiness
     Physical Education / Exercise
     Snack / Hot Lunch
     Recess
     Choice time/free play

TUITION:
The cost of the King's Kids program is $150 per month and the Son-shine Kids is $60 per
month. This includes a hot lunch (King's Kids) each day in the school cafeteria. Tuition is due on the
1st of each month. Each parent will receive a payment coupon book.

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE:
Before and after school care is available (for a small, additional fee).

Son-Rise before school care is available Monday-Thursday from 7:30am to 8:30am. Please contact Mrs. Deb Curl at 217.342.4060 for more information.
Clubhouse after school care is available Monday-Thursday for King's Kids students only from 1:30pm to 5:30pm. Please contact Mrs. Tracy Roderick at 217.342.4060 for more information.
