Upcoming High School Events
July 5-9th 7:00-8:00pm Bible Study on basic Catholic apologetics in the lower level of the church- Come learn about our Catholic faith and become more familiar with the Bible. Snacks will be provided. Bring a Bible and a friend!
July 20th Crossroads, an amazing group of young adults “walking across America to save the unborn,” will be passing through Effingham on their way from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. All high school youth are welcome to join them for a meal at 6:00pm at the parish center and then hear why they are devoting their entire summer to the pro-life movement. July 24th Canoe trip- Join us to canoe 11.5 miles on Sugar Creek near Turkey Run State Park in Indiana. We will meet at Sacred Heart at 7:00am to leave and return at approximately 7:30pm. It will be a fun day on the water! Permission slips need to be turned in to the parish office by July 12th.

August 7th Inter-parish Softball Tournament- St. Isidore Parish has invited us to take part in their Annual Co-Ed Slow Pitch Softball Tournament. We need a team of at least 10 high school students, ages incoming freshmen through outgoing seniors, with an equal number of guys and girls. The tournament is tentatively set to begin at 11:00 am and conclude with Mass at 4:30 pm. The tournament will take place at the St. Aloysius Church Ball Diamonds at Bishop Creek in rural Dieterich.
