Welcome to Sacred Heart ! My name is Mrs. Maria Zumbahlen, and I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I am the fifth grade homeroom teacher. In fifth grade I teach religion, Math, Science, Music, Spanish, and GRP. Our religion in grade five covers the Word of God, the Holy Trinity, the liturgy, the Beatitudes, the Ten Commandments, and prayer.
I love seeing children learn new things and love learning. In fifth grade we work together to fulfill our class mission-"To help others learn about God and get to heaven."
Welcome! I am Ms. Carolyn Niebrugge, and I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education plus fifteen to thirty additional hours in accounting. The classes I teach in grade five are spelling, social studies, and english. In my classes, the activities the students find exciting are social studies projects and review games. In grade five social studies, we cover the history of our country from the migration of the first people into the Americas to the Industrial Revolution. In Math 76, we cover the four operations on whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and geometry.
