Sacred Heart Teamwork Opportunities

With some starting as early at 4th grade, teamwork opportunities are abundant at Sacred Heart School! Because we're a small school, we're able to accept all students who desire to play a sport and who work to develop thier skill level. This means that everyone gets to play!

We have been extremely successful despite being a small school with limited team members. During the 2009/2010 school year, both boys baseball and boys basketball teams advanced to the State tournament! In years past our girls teams have been equally successful.

The students at Sacred Heart School have teamwork opportunities in Baseball (boys), Basketball (girls and boys grade 4-8), Track and Cross Country (grade 5-8), Volleyball (girls), Cheerleading (girls), Band and Chorus (grade 5-8), as well as Scholar Bowl (girls and boys).

In 2009/2010 school year, our Scholar Bowl team won the area Regional tournament and advanced to the Sectional tournament.

The teams at Sacred Heart School strive to do well while achieving team and personal goals. Winning is great, but it's certainly not a main priority as we work to develop to the young talents of our middle-school students. At the junior high level we continue to develop those skills, but also strive to excel, advancing to post-season play.

If you're interested in learning more about the many teamwork opportunities here at Sacred Heart School, we invite you to talk with our Principal and/or our Athletic Directors. Contact the school at 217.342.4060 or email shschool@sheff.org.
