Moses with the Ten Commandments by Rembrandt van Rijn

Rembrandt's Moses with the Ten Commandments was an oil painting done in 1659. Moses is shown holding the tablets over his head, about to break them in response to his anger and sorrow over the behavior of the Israelites and the golden calf they erected during his absence while receiving the tablets on Mount Sinai. As you review this painting, let it remind you of the importance of the commandments God has given us, as well as the expectation He has for us to follow and obey His laws. May we all feel His love and follow His guidance in our lives.
